Traveling was very dangerous around this country in 1989. We were limited to visiting a few Tillandsia nurseries but even they had armed guards all over. We did make a day trip to the lowlands on the Pacific and a one day trip to city where all tourists go, Antigua. We decided to leave this beautiful country and flew on to El Salvador. |

This country was even worse. After much discussions with the local folks we decided not to continue our travels here. We never even got out of the airport. We got new tickets and flew on to Belize. |
