Vriesea 'Belgian Mary'

Vriesea 'Belgian Mary' In Dec 1984 the BSI Seed Fund offered Vriesea Mariae x Belgian Hybrid. We do not know if this was seed from a plant called V. Mariae x Belgian Hybrid or was a planned hybrid using V. Mariae as mother.

In any event all the surviving plants produced a similar inflorescence to V. Mariae but without the yellow. The seed was grown by Keith Bradtberg in South Australia and named 'Belgian Mary' by myself to save some confusion!
