Tropiflora has confirmed that their plant originated in Australia and so the parentage is gurkenii x sucrei. The gurkenii x alvimii was a guess on the part of Tropiflora. If fertilized this plant is a prolific grower and will lose the spottings on its leaves making one wonder why it has this name! "
