Neoregelia 'Bob Read' / 'Bob Reads Lad'

Derek Butcher " Neoregelia 'Bob Read' appears to be a species which Dr. Robert Read had at the Smithsonian for many many years and intends to name eventually. It seems to be in the same category as Neoregelia 'Fireball'. Linked to this problem we have in Australia a plant called Neo. sp. ex Gary Hendrix but according to Gary Hendrix is 'Bob Read' crossed with an unknown father! Now we know it is not a species, we call it 'Bob Reads Lad' !!! "
